People and Culture Advisor


With over 300 employees and around 6,000 volunteers the Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s leading provider of services and support to people who are blind or have low vision. We are one of New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic Not for Profit organisations and are looking for a People and Culture Advisor to join us. You will help the organisation achieve our vision of a “life without limits” for New Zealanders who are blind or who have low vision.

This role is based in our Auckland office, and supporting managers nationwide, the People and Culture team is continually working on building strong partnerships with managers, with a focus on transformational leadership and culture development initiatives.

Reporting to the Business Partner People and Culture, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational HR initiatives, whilst providing support for a range of culture and change initiatives through effective delivery of best practice HR service delivery to our internal clients.

You will have the ability to take ownership of projects, in a solutions focused and collaborative team environment.

This role will suit a People and Culture Administrator or Coordinator looking to grow into an advisory role.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant equivalent
  • Experience with organisational change and improvement areas
  • A commitment to customer service excellence
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word and Excel advanced)
