National Contact Centre Advisor

With over 300 employees and around 6,000 volunteers the Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s leading provider of services and support to people who are blind or have low vision. One of New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic Not for Profit organisations, we need a National Contact Centre Advisor to join us. You will help the organisation achieve our vision of a “life without limits” for New Zealanders who are blind or who have low vision.

We are looking for a Customer Service extraordinaire to fill a key position in a within our National Contact Centre (NCC). The National Contact Centre Advisor role provides timely accurate assistance in both specialist and general enquiries to ensure the provision of exceptional service within the NCC.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Answering all calls coming into the National Contact Centre in a prompt, professional and polite manner.

  • Providing a quality, solution focused service with every call.

  • Taking ownership of queries and requests that come through the National Contact Centre and provide a resolution for these.

  • Train to become a champion of process change and service improvements within the team.

    Reporting to the NCC Manager the successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Customer Service role or similar Contact Centre environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of general administration functions.
  • An ability to develop effective systems and processes.
  • An ability to provide sound and timely customer service decisions, through analysis and problem solving.
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and experience with databases.
