You will help the organisation achieve our vision of a “life without limits” for New Zealanders who are blind or who have low vision.
We are currently recruiting for experienced Vision Rehabilitation Instructors to join us in the following locations:
Rehabilitation Instructors work directly with our clients who are blind or have low vision, facilitating appropriate independence on an individual needs basis. The roles purpose is to provide individuals with professional assessment, planning and instruction to work towards achievement of individual goals.
This is a specialised technical role and as a result we are looking for:
Experience in the delivery of Orientation and Mobility (O&M) and Adaptive Daily Living programme (ADL).
A recognised qualification in rehabilitation for people who are blind or have low vision with an emphasis on O&M and ADL.
Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
Eligible to work in New Zealand or gain the appropriate work visa.
You will also be an enthusiastic, honest and open communicator, with proven skills in client database use, and Microsoft Office.
