Donor Care Specialist

With over 300 employees and around 6,000 volunteers the Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s leading provider of services and support to people who are blind or have low vision. One of New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic Not for Profit organisations, we need a Donor Care Specialist to join us. You will help the organisation achieve our vision of a “life without limits” for New Zealanders who are blind or who have low vision.

This is an important role that is highly administrative but is centred on caring for Blind Foundation supporters. Its purpose is:

  • To provide a quality service to Blind Foundation donors through the efficient banking, processing and acknowledging of donations

  • To maintain the accuracy of the personal and financial records of individuals and organisations who give to the Blind Foundation

What we are looking for:


  • Experience of working in a customer service environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent numerical skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to juggle several tasks at once

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • IT Skills; including fast and accurate keyboard skills


  • Financial administration experience

  • Knowledge of blindness and low vision and Blind Foundation’s work
