Digital Marketing and Web Manager


With over 300 employees and around 6,000 volunteers the Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s leading provider of services and support to people who are blind or have low vision. One of New Zealand’s most trusted and iconic Not for Profit organisations, we need a Digital Marketing and Web Manager to join us. You will help the organisation achieve our vision of a “life without limits” for New Zealanders who are blind or who have low vision.

As part of our Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated digital marketing strategy. Our successful applicant will develop and manage the Blind Foundation website and execute digital marketing that supports our overall marketing and customer engagement strategies.

As part of the current modernisation of the Blind Foundation, this individual will have an active role to play in reshaping the brand and marketing of the Blind Foundation. With a focus on website, social media and CRM management this role will be key in engaging new and existing clients, supporters and volunteers. The role will bring expertise in digital marketing to the marketing team; to round out the expertise of other team members in areas such as brand, campaign, communications and market research. In addition to your technical expertise, you’ll need to be able to work in a collaborative manner with the rest of the team and support the wider team priorities - but we are an easy bunch to get along with!

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in digital marketing and website management within a Marketing or agency team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, business or a related field.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement integrated digital marketing strategies and solutions

  • Proven ability to maintain and support websites using WordPress or other platforms

  • Proven ability to manage social media

  • Proven experience in digital analytics and the ability to derive meaning from these

  • A good understanding of database and email marketing concepts

  • Knowledge of marketing and communications principles

  • Effective digital copywriting ability

  • A strong customer and user focus

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and brand sensitivity

  • A proactive and collaborative working style; with ownership for individual contribution

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of online technologies including web analytics software and social media platforms
